ABOUT
JENN

Jennifer Carmody is a writer, host of Carmody Central Podcast, model and chameleon living in Los Angeles by way of New Jersey. After several years of studying film in New York City, she worked as a production assistant on various New York based Hollywood sets, such as Warner Bros reboot of Arthur, and Paramount satire, The Dictator. It was also during this time she wrote, produced and directed her own short film; 'Who Is Tara Thomas?' which follows a young, love-scorned woman enacting her revenge. By this point, she began keeping a personal blog, detailing her stories and strange life events as a source of inspiration for her future projects. She also was a credited creative consultant, in charge of the stage design for the set of comedian Jim Norton's special 'American Degenerate,' which aired on EPIX. Jennifer contributed to another EPIX comedy special, ‘Please Be Offended,’ where her crude personal quotes were used in the closing monologue.
Jenn relocated to Los Angeles, where she became the First Assistant Director and Associate Producer of 'Chavez: Cage of Glory,' a mixed martial arts film starring Danny Trejo. She completed a series of classes and performances at the UCB theatre, where she explored and developed different aspects of her improvisational and comedic skills. It was around this time she founded Carmody Central Podcast, a weekly podcast dedicated to discussing taboo topics free of judgement. The podcast to date has been downloaded by more than 250,000 people in over 130 countries around the world, and features guests such as Amy Schumer, Colin Quinn and Jim Norton. It is hosted out of her home studio in Hollywood and has become a platform for many up and coming comedians and writers. The podcast was featured on the Opie and Anthony SiriusXM satellite radio show, and Jennifer guest hosted another Sirius XM comedy based advice talk show. Jennifer is a primary cast member of the Jim Norton produced animated series 'The Chip Chipperson Show.’ She voiced the character 'Jenny Carm,' the sharp girlfriend of main character Chip. Jennifer contributed not only to the voice of Jenny Carm, but also had a hand in much of the show's writing and concepts. Jennifer is currently in the process of writing a comedic self help book for young women, with release dates to be announced. As well as, being a writer and contributor for BUST Magazine.
In addition to her work in film and writing, Jennifer has had many odd work experiences she plans to write about, from measuring boobs as a bra specialist, bartending at various watering holes around Manhattan, and as a general manager for several marijuana collectives in Los Angeles. She has modeled for popular brands such as Gypsy Junkies and American Apparel.
When she's not writing, advocating for social justice, or banking weird experiences for a memoir, you can find her downing cayenne shots at your local juicery.
